I loved that the resort is located on elephantine island. It gave a sense of seclusion. the private ferry service was prompt and well-managed. the spa was a sanctuary after sightseeing. I had a deeply relaxing foot massage. the breakfast buffet was excellent, especially the thoughtful 3 am service and packed boxes for abu simbel excursions!!!
the water supply cut in our room happened once in the morning and again in the afternoon. it was a short inconvenience, though.

my stay included a duplex king suite. i found the room quite dated. the carpet had noticeable stains. it felt dusty. it did not meet the expectations i had for a hotel in this price range. i expected a higher level of upkeep.

i had a classic king room nile view the sunsets were amazing from there. the breakfast had omelets and crepes made fresh. the boat to the east bank ran often so travel was very accessible.
